I heard the news today at a concert of Abel Sanchez-Aguilera, who wanted to dedicate his performance to Powell (he was playing Sorabji et al.). Very sad news, saw a couple of incredible performances by him at our local concert hall.

My only question would be: “What to do with them?” Their position, modus operandi and role has been accurately described and, where relevant, debunked. In the current mess we’re in, to me it feels it’s about time to ignore them, but I would be curious about his postion.

Om alvast een "Moet links dan niks doen?" voor te zijn. Mijn antwoord daarop is nee; natuurlijk moet je proberen je opnieuw uit te vinden, maar ik ben er allemaal niet hoopvol over. (2)

Nee ik zeg ook niet dat er niks gebeurt, maar "heruitvinden" op enigszins korte termijn ben ik sceptisch over. Ik zie niemand die die kar gaat trekken in ieder geval. En ook al hebben ze zich heruitgevonden, hoe gaat dat de grote massa bereiken op een positieve manier in de huidige media? (1/2)

Het slaat sowieso ook nergens op. Er zou juist veel méér kritiek moeten zijn. Onze regering en nieuwsorganisaties doen alsof het nog een soort normale regering is daar. Maar het doel van deze gast is natuurlijk weer om mensen die wel iets geven om vrijheid, democratie en rechtsstaat te beschimpen.
