For me change this to my audiobook. Wife comes in talking to me. Take out earbud, "I'm listening to my book." Oh, sorry she says and leaves. 5 min later comes back in chatting at me again. This when the above look happens.

I read this as a kid. Supposedly it is full of deep metaphorical meanings and yearnings to better oneself. I just thought it was an entertaining story about a seagull that wanted to fly and dive as fast as a hawk. Got a "C" on my book report! 😄
