Carpenter, gardener, half-baked anthropologist. Easily distracted by things related to Burma, forests, punk rock, John Coltrane, and the end of capitalism.
Can someone please prove me wrong by demonstrating that this pamphlet does indeed exist in pdf on the internet so that I don't have figure out how put in there myself?

"Intelligence is perhaps the best shared thing in our country: everybody believes themselves to be so well provided with it that the very people who are usually the hardest to please in other matters, like our leaders, are not accustomed to wish for more than they have."

On this International Women's Day I am remembering Kyal Sin, aka Angel, who was murdered by the Burmese state 4 yrs ago this week. She was, by all accounts, a generous and brave human, who refused to bow down to despotism.

Everything will be ok.

Today marks the 4th anniversary of the coup in Burma and, more importantly, the beginning of the Spring Revolution that arose in response. May the spirit of resistance of the Burmese people inspire all who wish to defeat the rising tide of global authoritarianism. It is never too late to bite back.

A half century before Topanga Canyon hippies, there was the Magonista commune in suburban Edendale (present day Silverlake). Sadly, this was Ricardo Flores Magon's last free home before his slow carceral murder at Leavenworth.

"When social significance is attributed only to what is immediate, and to what will be immediate immediately afterwards, always replacing another, identical immediacy, it can be seen that the uses of the media guarantee a kind of eternity of noisy insignificance"

With some name changes this passage about Magonistas in the US a century ago, could be describing the lives of Burmese revolutionaries in Thailand today. Crowdfunding and dodging the police remain eternal.

"A critique based on the facts concerns all aspects of theory, including all concepts of organization. The involvement we undertake ourselves is above all motivated by our own personal experience of social relationships in a capitalist world."
