Cut your bulk fermentation time by an hour or more & you’ll get better overnight spring & ear. Mine looks like that when its energy has been spent, like when I forget and go to bed!

I tried another batch today of the Tangzhong, I think it was the yeast. Best wishes in crafting a new starter. Dehydrate some once you get it going good, for those JIC moments.

I haven’t been happy with my whole wheat or rye breads. I’ll stick to my fluffy sourdough! But that Tangzhong method usually works quite well for me. I just think the house was too cold.

I had that issue today with active dry yeast. I think it was just too cold in the house. My sourdough seems to like it cooler. 🤷♀️

Me too. These were last winter and spring projects. I want to make another Good Vibes. Just haven’t gotten around to actually doing it yet. Won’t be long if it actually does get cold here.

Don’t compare your progress to others. They may have more time available to practice their craft than you do. You’ll get there. It takes time.

There is a severe abuse of power in this country. States, that ban abortions, refuse to step-up to protect this children. There isn’t money for meeting the needs of families. But there’s money available for ICE. There’s $ for brutality, $ for fear, $ for torture, $ for hate.
We must fix this.
