That's why I'm begging the media to respond to the antifa-terrorist language with the same "concern" they had with the MAGA-fascist language.

We don't have a policy for fascists. We do have a kill-on-sight policy for terrorists. Only one side is using language that paints a target on the opposition

It's wild how quickly we bounced from "is it wrong to call conservatives fascist?" to "we're officially labeling liberals as a terrorist organization."

It's extra wild because we don't have any official policy for dealing with fascists, but we have crystal clear, official policy to kill terrorists.

Joe Biden went from laughing stock of the Dem establishment to lovable Joe partly off the strength of "this is a big fucking deal" and other choice language, so can miss me with this "cursing doesn't help anyone" talk.

Even if I bought the BS about it "mimicking Trump," it's irrelevant. The entire reason you curse in public is bc it makes you appear relatable.

And in this image economy where Dems are overwhelmingly seen as stuffy DC robots, anything that breaks that image, even when it's forced, is a good thing

IDGAF how much Trump curses. This has nothing to do with him. It has to do with looking relatable and trustworthy, which is what studies have shown cursing does.

If Pritzker wants to steal momentum from Newsom, his best tactic is going to be to dial in on the racist attacks on Black/Brown Americans by Trump.

And the first step is locking arms with Brandon Johnson. Pritzker has a chance to pretty much capture the Black Biden bloc wholesale, if he does that.

This is why I've been saying for years that we shouldn't be trying to control SCOTUS. We should be trying to NEUTER it. Strip away as much power and authority from the entire institution as possible because in their history they have done far more harm than good.

Part of the valor in resisting and protesting is accepting the punishment. Civil rights leaders from all walks of life for the history of our country have always embraced that mantra and never shied away from being perpwalked for a just cause

There are no studies on the "authenticity" of swearing. It's a ham-fisted idea to say that you can rate how authentic someone swearing is.

The point of swearing is that it breaks social taboos. There's no inauthentic way to break social taboos, even if you're looking over your shoulder to do it

Cursing is exactly the same virtue signaling as wearing jeans and a rolling up your sleeves.

How well you do it is irrelevant to the actual action of doing it. No one cares how authentic you're rolled up shirt sleeves look, just like no one cares how authentic your cursing is.

Cursing and beards today are no different than rolled up sleeves and jeans were for outreach to the blue collar bloc in 90s/2000s.

The entire point of doing it is to show that you're not locked into typical DC politician mode all the time, even if that advice is obviously coming from DC consultants

You're so wrong on this. Swearing is exactly the type of thing that breaks the narrative around Democrats, even if it's obviously pandering. What easier way to break the perception that you're a boring stick in the mud that's more concerned about propriety than helping than just dropping a "fuck"?
