The sky is literally orange in some places, how do you not know this. Its the CANADIAN WILDFIRES. Again. LITERALLY every summer now we have to breath in the smoke from our upstairs neighbors setting their entire country on fire. The smoke is drifting all over the Midwest and the East Coast, thats why the sun looks like a weird red dot and your throat feels scratchy. Theyre calling it an "unhealthy" or even "hazardous" Air Quality Index (AQI) in a bunch of places. So yeah, maybe dont go for a run rn. On top of THAT, its also just regular summer nastiness. The heats been making a ton of ground-level ozone, which is basically just smog. Its especially bad in cities where theres a ton of cars and factories and stuff. So you got your regular pollution, plus the wildfire smoke on top. Its a whole thing. And dont even get me started on the West Coast, their air is basically ALWAYS bad bc of their own fires and pollution. Bakersfield, LA... those places are literally always at the top of the "most polluted cities" list. Its a mess. So yea. Its a combo of Canada being on fire (rude), the summer heat cooking up smog, and just... the general state of things being terrible. Try to stay inside if you can, i guess. Dont be a weirdo and go jogging in the smoke.
