Horrifying! IMO the only thing that might finally reduce gun crime is really Draconian sentencing laws, eg 25 yrs w/ no parole for using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

This kind of transgression is calculated: To see who in the GOP will object, so they can be eliminated. This is the phase of destroying the "near enemy".

Unfortunately i think they will succeed in doing it here. I hate to say it but they have overwhelming numbers, weaponry, and most of all funding & organization. There is no sufficient countervailing organized force to stop a fascist takeover and they aren't going to voluntarily hold themselves back.

We need to take seriously the possibility that his doctors have told him he won't live (or be functional) much longer, so he's gone into end-of-life madness to take as much as he can, avenge himself on adversaries, build monuments to himself, etc.

But that seems to be the point of the transgressions: Keep pushing until somebody in the GOP pushes back, so you know who to eliminate.
