Fair. I’ve heard lots that it’s easier to learn how to speak Spanish than writing or reading in Spanish. Still, may be something to gradually look into if one plans to live there. One never knows if, say navigating a marketplace, English will be spoken or written

I’ve also recently started experimenting with making flash/notecards for all of my studies, so if you’re looking to challenge yourself, either in language or culture, that’s a way to do it as well!

That’s awesome! I actually watch a vtuber who speaks Swedish, and Swedish and Norwegian (along with Danish) are not far off from each other, I also got a textbook that breaks down all three at the same time. I also like to listen to a lot of Nordic folk music so that’s always fun too!

Immersive/applicable learning can help with you building fluency, so reading in Thai, either to yourself or out loud, watching various shows in Thai, listening to Thai music, etc. the more interaction, the better you’ll get and it’ll stick. I’m trying to do something similar with Norwegian

No one is an anomaly unless they are doing the exact opposite of what teachings teach them, or if they’re being taught that violence is acceptable. They project onto us with megaphones and give us a bad rep, but they’re the ones that need to be questioned, and they won’t like it when they are

Besides, if one can’t worship other entities from other countries, then why does America (though obviously being a complex discussion as of late) have a variety of spiritual places for everyone to visit at their leisure? Hypocrites can fuck around and find out for what anyone cares 2/2

XD true facts, true facts! It’s not so much that I can’t/don’t worship pantheons from other countries, it’s more connecting to my ancestral lands (my family is screwed up in a lot of ways so it’s not really honoring ancestors as it is cultures/beliefs) 1/2

I’ve recently added Odin and Freya to my alter, and I’m still looking heavily into Nordic/Anglo-Saxon practices, but I’m still open to the rest of them, even been looking into the Celtic and Egyptian pantheon a little bit. Helps that all my historical interests are in those realms as well

It’s relatively recently, like, within the past two years of exploring for myself and finding out what the term “omnist” means, that I started taking on the mantle for myself. My mage studies helped me a lot but if I’m honest with myself, I’ve always been curious of the cultures/faiths around me 2/2

Same, and every community will have their gatekeeping assholes sadly. I think, since I went to a Buddhist retreat in CO when I was in middle school, kinda awakened me to the fact that there are other spiritual paths and truths out there, but some family being family I couldn’t explore myself. 1/2

Fascinating. I honestly could’ve guessed but I didn’t know you were into Buddhism spiritually. I’ve somewhat recently opened myself up to omnism but haven’t really had the best luck finding unbiased resources beyond my Mage (witchcraft) studies

Thats the same translator I used- I saved a copy of the photo and used my phone’s text grabber in photos to copy the characters and pasted it in the translator

Everyone is still figuring out how to use bsky, at least everyone that’s able to ditch the main forms. It’s still fairly new as well so algorithms are still being tested. Give it some more time, we gotcha
