It should be added that you can't rip off the wrong people. Steal from the government or average working people, you're fine. Rip off wealthy people, and you will go to jail. Barry Madoff found this out too...

This has me conflicted. I'm not convinced the Orange team didn't do some hanky-panky with the 2024 elections, but if that was a thing, would he care much about redistricting?

Two approaches. It's Voyager 1 vs Starlink. First is crazy expensive and it WILL work. Second is disposable and just factor in 50% failure rate.

In Minneapolis, standard time gets you a 4:24a sunrise in June. If we're going to drop to one, keep DST and drop Standard Time.

Clarification: I just googled that - I should have written "see Wikipedia's definition of perpetual motion machine". There are lots of gimmicky toys that claim perpetual motion. It can be fun to figure out how they aren't perpetual, but that's getting into the weeds here...

It doesn't matter what size you make it. The energy to push the turbine through the air will always be greater than the energy it produces. See "perpetual motion machine".

I got to watch him play a bit for MNUFC. I wish I could have seen him in his prime. Seemed able to get a shot off in almost any situation. There just wasn't as much oomf on his shots as there used to be...

This works great with the new schedule too! Pooling the cold-climate teams together should make avoiding the sub-zero degree games even more challenging. "Feb too cold for MNUFC to play at home, just schedule them in Chicago!"

A bit ago, the USMNT played a friendly in MNUFC's stadium in February. High for the day was near zero (Fahrenheit). Couldn't really sit down, some people brought cardboard to stand on to insulate from the concrete. It's like a one-time experience. Not something most STH would put up with.

I live here for a reason. I love outdoor winter sports as a participant. I'm a season ticket holder. I'm not renewing after '26. Maybe I'm an outlier, but I really don't think so.
