You really do like to go from 0 to 100 in record time, huh?

Look, I've been calm and collected with you, but if you're just going to be on the offensive constantly, then I'm done.

Congrats? Do you want a cookie? I did say most.

You do realize that, most of the time, those of us who are engaging with this type of material on social media, we did vote for Biden. And we will always vote for the less bad candidate. Despite all our complaining. The ones who sit it out or didn't vote, they arent on social media

You say this as if I agree with anything that has been happening recently. Im happy to let you know how misinformed you are, but it really seems like you just want to be angry and are looking for someone to be angry at. Which is fine, live your life that way if you want, but don't drag me into it.

I don't think that's a reason to give up hope for a better tomorrow, unless your plan is to completely obliterate the US. If we give up hope for things getting better, they never will. It has to be followed by action of course, but that action is fueled by hope.

I don't disagree. But that doesn't mean we can't be better.
January 9, 2026 at 7:19 PM
But it could grow past this. The United States can be better. It's just that Renee shouldn't have had to die in order for it to happen.
January 9, 2026 at 7:05 PM
True. However, I feel like that could have been combatted by Biden doing more. A little bit of hope goes a long way. And Biden's last few months did not do much to inspire me personally. Now I still voted, but that's because I think it's a duty, and you can't force that sense of duty.
January 9, 2026 at 5:34 PM
Ok, thank you for clarifying. I disagree. I think it was the lack of hope provided. In my personal experience, people are much more likely to go do *thing* if they believe in the cause. This pertains especially to voting, where there is no guarantee of impact.

It seems we should agree to disagree.

Humans are more civilized now. Don't lose hope in that.

It's that some people put themselves on a pedestal of being above human, and this lets them live in a constant state of rage. And people can do terrible things when they rage. So if you're always enraged, you can do terrible things constantly.

Republicans really love to say the most terrible things imaginable and claim that they're proud of it.

I imagine they must have embraced a core ideal of "I am always right" in order to avoid the cognitive dissonance that any normal person would get from saying "I don't feel bad for a murder victim"
January 9, 2026 at 4:44 PM
Ok. I get that you think that there are people who are being influenced by that. That wasn't in question. I am clarifying: Do you think that that negative news was enough to get registered Democrats to either not vote for Biden or to vote for Trump?

That and, if he had continued walking, he would have been well out of the path of her vehicle. He stopped in order to pull out his gun. He stopped (putting himself in more danger) so that he could kill someone.

He put himself in a dangerous situation so that he could have a chance to commit murder.

Cool. Now the next step is to push for his impeachment because of his grave crimes against the Constitution. This little bit hasn't fixed the betrayal you've done to the people you are supposed to represent, so don't get comfortable just yet
January 9, 2026 at 3:03 PM
That has nothing to do with what I asked. Please answer my question next time you respond or don't bother responding. I'm trying to understand your position and you are actively obfuscating it.
