I spend too much time reading manga, watching anime, and thinking about Magic: The Gathering and need a place to put my thoughts.
In universes sets are 2-3 years. The extra year is because having to talk with rights holders and get their approval adds a fair bit of time to the process.

Universes Beyond sets have a 3-4 years turn around. A secret lair should have has much faster turn around times though, and if I were to guess that would be around 1-2 years.

While I certainly trust Wizards about as far as I can throw them, the fact that they not only responded to this, but did so in under 20 minutes of this thread being posted speaks a lot to them knowing how much of a third rail bringing HP into Magic would be.

In Violet before I started my playtrough proper I went and caught all the Pokemon I wanted, plus Pokemon to get them egg moves, and only after I had the other 5 members set did I start doing challenges. I fully plan on doing this again in Gen 10 since it made my Pokemon feel like MY Pokemon.

You talked about not feeling close to your Pokemon when you walk through enemies, and while I can't say I relate to close battles making me feel closer to my Pokemon I can say what has made me care more is the fact that I've started breeding my team and I recommend trying it.

It’s a really awesome series. He also does something called the Progression Series. I haven’t watched it personally but as I understand it he goes through the game’s history by opening a box and building a deck from it. Then opens the next set and upgrades the deck. Rinse and repeat.

Cimooooo is a Yugioh Youtube who’s done a number of cross overs with Magic Youtubers, in particular CGB. His “History of” where he played through the meta of Yugioh from start to 2020 or so is one of the coolest CCG series I’ve seen.

What sort of products/companies you trust to keep your collection safe. So binder, sleeves, deck boxes, that sort of stuff.

Should have waited for $23.49 more.

Surprised you didn't talk about how echoes of Umbreon having originally been poison type are still in the game. Not only do some Dex descriptions talk about it having poison abilities, HG for example, when they purged Toxic from most learn sets in Gen 9 it was one of the few non-poisons to keep it.

I request, nay demand, a Shuffle Up and Play Two Headed Giant game with MBT and Cimo vs. CGB and Prof. @tolariancommunitycollege.com please make it happen.

Also my prerelease deck. It was actually solid, but between playing an insane deck match 1 and a really bad punt match 3 game 2 and a flood out game 3 I only went 1-2. Event was fun as always though.

Honestly the box was amazing, especially when you add in my opens from the prerelease. Almost all of these are things I have a use for and I’m shocked at how many mythics I got. This went well enough that I might get another box for Strixhaven. Covered card is a second Champion of the Perfect btw.

Good to know. Thanks.

Glare would actually be strictly better than T-Wave. Obviously in later gens it has more accuracy, but even in Gen 4 it has more PP (30 vs. 20) and unlike T-Wave it can actually paralyze ground types.

I hadn't heard of that. I'll have to look into it. Thanks.
