I have a conference to attend in the morning, but I had to keep working on LInk. His legs are way too short so gotta fix that. The gauntlets and belt buckle too

Linux is closer to Mac under the hood than windows, but all those apps you mentioned will run fine on Linux. I use Fedora and run CSP and Zbrush via Wine, and ue5 is native.

Installing Linux has never been easier as well!

How many bananas do you want in your hair Link?

Here is said 400 error. Does flatpak have issues with logging into things? Does it interact with the firewall? Can disabling firewalld help with login?

This is the closest I’ve gotten to get the Maxon Era Zbrush installed on Linux. For some reason Bottles and Proton GE 10.17 actually gives me a UI in the evil Maxon App, but it still won’t log me in. Even using the mx1 command line tool won’t log me in. Giving me a 400 error.

I run Zbrush on Linux. It has its quirks but setting it up on Lutris is pretty easy. You will need the 2022 version of Zbrush BEFORE the maxon DRM was required. A Zbrush forum thread has a list of dependencies for Zbrush to work.

The fact that EA put their anti cheat as a bullet point in their marketing means either the audience feels safer with kernel anti cheat, or developers or publishers think kernel anti cheat is the ultimate solution to fighting cheating in games, like this is the best it’s ever going to be

Yes, this is Zbrush running on Linux! Almost done with my Daisy sculpt for my Weegie animations I am doing. I really want to do the retopo in Maya, but I think for now, I should relearn how to do it in Blender until then.

I got a new desk job and have to be on MS Teams all the time. The noise suppression is so good that I can use a stupid loud clicky keyboard and no one will notice ;)

I think I’m starting to get it. I like Carcass, but this album alluded me as the riffs were like a whirl wind of death metal and not as melodic as Heartwork. But now it’s starting to click for me :D

Omg this won’t budge. I’m a weakling ;-;

This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Time to clean the thermal paste and put new ones on

Followed @peterwartman.com's tips on getting Clip Studio Paint working on Linux. Pressure sensitivity was the thing that was not working well for me when I tried it previously. But on Wayland, and after installing it in Bottles, it works nearly flawlessly! Wow!

Finally :)

Trying to open my Xbox 360 because it so freaking loud. This last tab refused to come off and I think I’m doing some horrible damage to it.

Stickering stuff is so fun!

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle looks incredible on a CRT. The best part is that I’m running it at 1600x1200 at 95hz and the game hits it pretty reliably. Incredible.

Also shout out to @kde.org for supporting ultra low resolutions on Wayland. Unlike GNOME which only goes down to 800x600 on Wayland, KDE supports 640x480, 640x400, and 512x480 in all their sessions. Plasma may be the most CRT friendly Wayland DE on Linux.

Mario Kart 64’s new pc port on a CRT. This game at 160hz is just as mind blowing as when sm64 got decompiled. Cant wait to see what is in store for this game

I got Zbrush running on Fedora Linux via Lutris! I am one happy artist. Stuck on the 2022 version until I find a fix for the Maxon DRM, but I’m so happy I can run my favorite os with my favorite art program :)

Fixed!
