Beekeeper since 2004. Knitter, spinner, artist.
Ex-twitterer, Ex-postie
Artists are driven to make art and they will find a way to make *something*. There are classes at every level and many overqualified teachers out there. I would ask around - I learned all of my technique at Com College and the rest at Adult Ed.

I waited a bit, because I’d heard that it was a flu-like reaction, especially with the second shot. I had absolutely no side effect with either. (Maybe the earlier version was more intense?)

I used to work at Tower Records and people used to hum tunes to me to identify. I was very good at it. We also had a book in the middle of the store that was always open and was about ten inches thick and had all of the songs in production. It’s wild to think that these changes happened so quickly

Also, as someone who’s worked in retail, understand that we love the people who make the simple, easy order and keep that line moving.

That would be fine with me. I listen when I’m beekeeping, and I can’t watch anything or fiddle with my phone while I’m moving full frames of bees.

After Amazon bought WF, they stopped stocking the products that I regularly bought. Then they stopped carrying single serving portions, so that had to buy more than you needed. I haven’t been back since I quit WaPo.

This looks great. My mom and I would have club sandwiches on toasted white bread at the local department store. I can’t remember the last time I had a club sandwich.

That’s a great 80s movie! I subjected my 22 yo daughter to suspense films from the 80s and 90s and one was Double Jeopardy (really, anything with Tommy Lee Jones or Gene Hackman), also The Net, with Sandra Bullock. (One of Carl Reiner’s favorite movies.)

That’s great to hear! Anywhere outside of Iowa City, Ames, or Fairfield is pretty red, so that’s very encouraging

What corner of Iowa? My in-laws live in the SE and I haven’t heard anything yet

It is my duty to finally post a cat & dog photo

They’re fantastic and break down to store. (Somewhat) I dried pears this year and they were so much sweeter than fresh. I’ve dried prune plums, apricots, and apples. I also use it for drying greens for my tortoise over the winter.

My daughter is 22 and I know all of these girl dad haunts. I have also stepped in to help edit when I’ve seen my overwhelmed husband with a full shopping cart and a blank expression. Good luck, Waj

It also gives some of us hope, which is so important right now.

It’s stressful enough being pregnant without even more doubts about “doing the right thing”. Ugh

Ooh, I hadn’t heard of this book, thanks!

The noses are a really bad idea too. Just polished all of the personality out of the drawings. It’s like an overworked painting

I’m team top down, (I’ve been knitting socks since the 80s), but I’ll do toe up if I like the pattern…
