Annual HIV infection rates rose significantly from 36,000(2021) to over 39,000(2023) before Trump terminated “ENDING THE HIV EPIDEMIC” funding this year, resulting in a projected 40% rise in new HIV infections to 54,600 new HIV infections annually by 2028, This BEFORE ending this CDC Grant

The crucial funding loss for clinics/pharmacies using the 340B program impacts their ability to provide essential services (STI/HIV testing/treatment and PrEP), especially to stigmatized/vulnerable and uninsured individuals. 3,200 programs nationwide may abruptly close if funding isn’t extended.

CDC funding for HIV/STI prevention has ended, including the last two years of a large grant which impacts the 340B program's ability to purchase medications at a discount to provide services for uninsured/underinsured, marginalized/vulnerable, especially those with and vulnerable to acquiring HIV
