Somewhere, I've still got my Power Surge/Mana Flare deck. It's kinda pointless now, but it was really fun to play, back in the day.

"Each land you tap gives you 5 mana. Each untapped at the end of turn burns you."

I give you all the props!
I finally lost my run on a New York trip about this time last year.

A few pictures of the installation process. The entire thing is installed into sheetrock. Never found a stud where I needed one.

The anchors I used are rated for 181lbs (82kg) each. There's 18 of them holding this mess to the wall.

At the top, there's a hidden screw that locks block to bracket

Final phases of finishing. Sanding the side blocks, staining everything, then finishing with a water based top coat.

Each shelf slot was lined with black felt that was left over from a subwoofer box project ages ago.

The last picture was at 4:30 this morning

Here's a bit about the welding. I'm hesitant to post TIG weld pictures as I'm nowhere near as good as Internet welders. The tubes were held in position simply by a layer of masking tape that made them a snug fit into the bores on the block. This worked great, but once welded, it was stuck in place.

These pictures span from the slot cutting operations to finish sanding and the start of fabrication of the steel mounting bracket for the center section.

This project was a bit of a self-created challenge. I had a specific idea of how I wanted the wood grain to lay out. I wanted it to appear as though it's all a single solid block with all grain parallel and horizontal. To give the appearance of rift sawn oak without paying rift sawn prices.
