Been trying something different with Mystic Keys

A couple sketches of Chester with his Mystic Key generating a blade of Light. I had done away with the weapon transformations since there wouldn't really be a point in using the key itself if the weapons could just do the same thing, and I like the whole key-shaped wand more (and gives me more ways to figure out key designs). The idea of the Mystic Key conceptually is to function both as an "almighty skeleton key" that can unlock anything, as well as a catalyst for magic. I took some inspiration from Kingdom Hearts, since the idea of a key being used as a primary weapon was very cool to me. Obviously I didn't want to copy the keyblade one-to-one, so I leaned heavily into the wand aspect (although keyblades are also wands in their own right haha). As for the blade of energy; it can be, depending on whether it is a Mystic Key or a Black Key, of either a Light element or a Dark element, with variations of course. Moonlight, Twilight and Starlight are some examples of variations; though in some cases creating a blade of flame or lightning is also possible. This requires much focus and training to maintain for long periods of time, however. Of course, generating a blade of Light or Dark isn't the only thing they can do, but it is a common ability amongst experienced wielders.

Shade Rabbit

I haven't colored one yet, but it was kinda fun figuring out what color eyes work best for them. I ultimately went with orange
A shade brute in the form of a large rabbit. A shade is the manifestation of darkness, and negativity is simply the byproduct of it. The light during the day prevents shades from manifesting, which is why they are most commonly seen at night.

Plum but with a slightly altered outfit (in terms of color) Plum can change his outfit at will, though he usually doesn't wear anything but his signature scarf.

A sketch of a Demon, Celestials who have fallen to darkness. They originally come from the Unseen Realm, and retain most of their power even after their fall from grace. Demons, like all Celestials, are capable of "putting on flesh", creating physical bodies for themselves. This is due to their spiritual forms being far too large to fit in the mortal universes, viewing them akin to small atoms. Malevir himself has many demons loyal to him.

Gillian Sylvester Gulliver, better known as Captain Gulliver. Leader of the Blue Anchor Pirates.

I haven't drawn him in awhile but he's a recurring antagonist in Grayson and his friends adventures through the various Dream Worlds.
A sketch of Captain Gulliver, a sea monster from the Dreamlands and captain of the Blue Anchor Pirates. His signature weapon is called The Weight of The Sea. He can assume a giant form where his lower body becomes the tentacles of a kraken, and his control and power over water increases dramatically. Gulliver cares about three things: his crew, freedom (which includes adventure), and food. The latter of which he frequently indulges in. His reasons for trying to acquire the Figment Stones are a mystery even to all but his crew.

Dream Worlds look like stars from a distance. Up close they're more like shining doors.

There are countless of them scattered throughout the Dreamlands, each filled with adventure.

Assassins of the Umbral Sanctum
A sketch of an Umbral Messenger, assassins that serve also as missionaries for the Umbral Sanctum. They, like everyone else in the Umbral Sanctum, are Malevir's children, whether literally or through blood transfusion. The Necklace that they wear is a symbol of their faith in their lord and father, and so greatly increases the strength of their dark magic. The brand they wear on their hand is a both symbol of their adoption and a symbol of their enslavement to the fate he weaves. The Blood Moon Sabre is a sword powered by the Crimson Moon. Known also as the Crimson Moon Fragment, it can inflict hemorrhaging much easier than any man-made blade, with wounds that can't be healed normally. The lost children refer to two of the characters I have made, which will be revealed in another post.

I haven't sketched Alexander in a bit, and decided to try my hand at sketching backgrounds

Malevir is the Primark of Yhervum, the land located northeast of Lodius. The capital contains the Grand Cathedral, the world's biggest cathedral. The kingdom's religion is Sancticism, with Malevir as the focus of it. Grayson and Runa were both born in Yhervum, and so Malevir wishes to reclaim what is his.

A sketch of Plum. Im not sure what kind of creature he is but it reminds me of a bear, dragon, and kangaroo lol (because he has a belly pouch). A sketch of Malvek, Malevir's son. I know, the names are similar, to the point where even I get confused at times. Malvek does appear in the Nightmare Realm when Grayson and his friends travel there during the Dreamlands Saga. More of a small piece of what is to come in their future.
