Hm, I didn't record time, but including the reading from the tutorial books probably about 4 hours?

My experience is about an hour per decade if you're moving at a reasonable pace. As slow as two hours per for a rough learning game, and I could see it as low as ~30 per if you're flying.

The dev team jokes we should make a special edition. 😅

The game at your house reminded me! In our group only @srabbelier.bsky.social has a copy, so it hasn't worn itself out yet. ❤️

Special boost for being a cooperative game I like, too. Not too many of those around.

I've played a few games. @kenkuhn.bsky.social noticed that I only track about 70% if we compare stats, and even so I'm in the thousands.

For me, games provide a bit of structure while hanging out with my favorite people, and my partner and I love to host.

Didn't realize you were going to PAXU right after you got back! We'll talk about it.

Totally understandable. @garykac.bsky.social did one of these for Juvenisle a while back, I should have asked him to bring back more 🫠

I'll have to track you down at another convention!

Dangerous for sure -- oh, I meant to ask: are you mailing the paper airplane game or just selling in person?

Lots of confidence boosters and support at this convention; got home and immediately was inspired to work on several of them.

Sometime I'll need to get to PAXU, I know a librarian in Philadelphia I'd love to meet up with again 😅

Great to meet you folks too! Keeping my eyes out for Kaiju.

That's a fun way to go -- Bruce and I were discussing taking the Coast Starlight if our flights back got cancelled 😅 fortunately didn't have to pull that trigger.

I make this soup a lot.

Get your broth in the pot. (Twice as much potato as leek is my preference and broth enough to cover the whole thing.) Strain out the leaves -- or ladle the broth in, if that's easier. Let the potatoes basically fall apart.

Good hot or cold (vichyssoise), great for bread dipping.

While everything is getting busy smelling good, peel and chop up your potatoes into chunks. Throw clean potato chunks into the pot with the buttered leeks as you chop.

Don't let the leeks burn, but give your tea time to steep too. When things smell good, you're good to go.

Chop your leeks: throw the greens in a big pot of water and the whites into a pot with some butter. For two or three leeks I throw a stick of butter in, but I'm decadent.

The water will be leek tea (broth), so add stuff that smells good: bay leaf, peppercorn, herbs lying around, etc.
