This dovetails with my academic hot take that too much time is spent teaching children the essay as a form and not enough time is teaching children how to come up with arguments about things.

Lowkey think Substack is worse than Twitter now. A lot of the bigotry on Twitter feels like a troll-y performance, whereas on Substack they are extremely serious about their race science and antifeminism.

I think some people's anti-AI goofs do go to a weird place where they're cosplaying being a racist as a goof in an uncomfortable way, but it's not bad because it's mean to the computer or some kind of slippery slope, it's bad bc pretending to be a racist as a goof like that is weird.
