We’ve always had the press mostly owned by the right but now there’s social media in the equation, which is also mostly owned by fascists too. People do need to wake up, otherwise we’ll end up the same as the USA.
blitzwalker.bsky.social
Really is. It will end badly I fear.

Sadly, yes mate. It’s happening all over again.

Because of course, the likes of the Tories, Reform (and the GOP across the Pond) only want f*ckwits to vote for them rather than educated people likely to ask questions.

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

Time to do it again.

A beautiful ship and revolutionary for its time (streamlined, turbo-electric propulsion, fast), whereas the Queen Mary was the culmination of the “traditional” design. Both beautiful, elegant ships which will never be surpassed.

Cricket at Ickenham already seems a distant memory and the ground is already put to bed for the winter but we’ll soon be back for 2026!

A little walk along the Thames path this morning whilst waiting for my car to be MOT’d. I shall miss my strolls along the Thames path but will have new places to explore, plus I’ll only be 25 or so miles away!

So, I took a trip today on this 1929 Leyland Titan, once operated by Jersey Motor Transport and which is thought to have been used by the German occupation forces to carry troops on the island during the occupation of the Channel Islands.
