We got up early to go watch the 8 yo at junior roller derby (she's a trip) and met up with my Aunt, who is now widowed, for lunch. Her reaction to our grandkids was priceless.

I married a man with 2 kids. I love them both fiercely. I'm lucky enough to be very close with our son, but just let me say his wife, our beloved DIL, absolutely rocks. Today was chaotic, fun and so much food. Plus she gave me an idea for the grandson; he loved his gift.

Texted our son at 8:48 this morning after loading a cooler( their fridge was too full to store the ham), a huge box and 2 bags of pressies. Returned at 20:23 with 3 bags of pressies and a cooler groaning with leftovers. I'd say that's a success.

Colbert is on a roll tonight. Ketchup will be flying if itself is watching.

So we had Thanksgiving with our son and DIL and grandkids. The fridge is full of leftovers, and my grandson can eat a Hawaiian roll in one bite (he's 12). Have a great night my Bluesky buddies.

We are tyrant free. The 15 year old, 6 pound, nearly deaf/blind Grandpuppy is back with her tribe. Hubby and I loosely meal plan for the week, and thought she'd be fed her food once a day, with kibble on offer all day. Nope, short order cook 2 times a day!

We moved to the south to be with the grandkids. I hate shopping, full disclosure. But due to budget we've ventured to local shops to buy for Christmas. I was browsing stuffies when an arsewipe physically grabbed my arm and demanded why I don't wear makeup.

We moved to the south, following beloved son, DIL, and grandkids. The kids are very much barefooted most of the time. They went on vacation and discovered the trainers bought for grandson, size 8, don't fit. A quick trip to the outlet mall showed he now wears 10.5 shoe; he's 12...yikes.

Our DIL homeschools our grandchildren. When I was purging my book collection in order to not pack 5,000 books while undergoing chemo, I kept all my complications of classic literature. Plus, my dictionaries, encyclopedic dictionaries, and thesaurus.

I don't think it's a coincidence that my PBS is running Rick Steve's Fascism on their fundraising weekend.
