That stinks. It puzzles me that some people are just not thoughtful if they are thought of. I can remember growing up always being sure to fill Christmas stockings for my parents. You'll have to break it to them somehow that you felt left out.

I have had such good luck at thrift stores. Online I shop betterworldbooks. For every used book you buy they donate one.

I did a book gift theme this year. Shopped thrift mostly. Came up with some good finds. And a few for my to be read pile. 😊 I hope your daughter enjoys it.
