Something ELSE to add on, something I talked abt w a friend recently was the idea of Casey’s mum being native american (just in account of her character design), so Casey being poor, traumatised by grief, bullied AND being non-white in new york in the 80s/90s….. whew. Talk about rough childhood

But CASEY on the other hand I’m 100% w you, especially on the growing up poor thing. That trauma can def have a huge affect on your mind development growing up. That added onto his father dying in a very traumatic way, being the only son to a single grieving mother… this boy has emotional problems

I disagree strongly about raph being emotionally constipated. He was the only one to cry during Leo’s coma, panicked when Mikey played that “I’m dying” prank on him, softened himself for Mrs Morrison, actively encouraged Casey and April’s blooming young romance… I think he’s very in-tune w emotions
