I live there and believe me when I say, a Lot of us are embarrassed as hell. At one point I was worried that she would be picked for VP, and a friend said, “What if the vice president of the United States was from your hometown…… and you were MORTIFIED?”

Rome is my hometown. I don’t know this family personally,but I know so many just like them. There is such a sense of white entitlement that people honestly believe that none of this will affect them or anyone they love. It’s like,“Trump wouldn’t possibly come after OUR loved one’s!! We are White!”
