Finished this interesting quick read. I can see how this book still ends up on reading lists for women’s studies. An unfiltered from a non-academic, commentary on patriarchy, misogyny, and toxic masculinity. Brought to you by the woman who shot Andy Warhol.

Finished this vivid book a couple weeks ago. It’s an easy read and enjoyable for all. Not a lot of scandal happening here but we can forgive Verne for that

I helped my son cross the Rainbow Bridge this morning. I couldn’t have planned a better day for his passing. He actually slept good the night before, and he slept deeply on the couch with me and Nate, and he even slept on the way to the vet and at the vet. He wasn’t afraid. I love you, Poppy.

Digging into my new book. I must be in my midlife crisis where I am adamant about getting back into learning a new art skill (and just self education in general).

Have you seen the documentary The Brainwashing of My Dad? The filmmaker had the same experience.

Just finished this later last evening. It’s about as long as I should have been. It goes into detail about her time being detained and how she coped and was able to maintain any sense of autonomy. After her time in prison, book feels like it breezes through the rest of her life as a BP woman.

Jonathan Rose tells how publishers had to “churn out school editions of Scott, Goldsmith, Cowper, Bacon, Pope and Byron” to keep up with demand from students. Traveling preachers introduced farmers to Milton and Tolstoy. Shakespeare reduced prisoners to tears.

Picked up a few titles in celebration of women’s history month. I have so many books and so little reading time T_T

But it’s great being able to read and learn

A book doesn’t end when you close it. That’s just when it starts rewriting you.

I love that the closest thing I've had to viral post on bluesky is a passage from Vonnegut. His book "A Man Without a Country" is full of gems.

Here's another: bsky.app/profile/jeff...
From Kurt Vonnegut's A Man Without a Country.

This hits me hard because I too was innocent and thought the US could continue to evolve into a humane and reasonable America.

Watching those drunk on power chimps (JD and Trump) disgrace our nation today makes me doubt we'll ever reach that ideal.

Found this on my neighborhood walk. This is 100% true. As an ex Fox News Junkie, this image really captures the vibe that hate media is.
