Americans pay for tariffs when the other country raises the price of its goods to offset the tariff: We then buy those goods at the higher price, thereby helping pay for the tariff. It’s important all Americans understand this.

One easier thing for Americans to unite on is that countries that have been tariffed simply raise the price of their goods to offset the tax. When Americans buy their goods, we pay the higher price. So, we’re paying for the tariff.

Starkly, they seem terrified: Masked to the gills and shooting in the middle of a scrum they’re already winning. More than anything else, lack of training is apparent.
