I'm always trying to come up with that sweet spot of interesting and doable for animating them, not that I've had much success.

yeah there just aren't a lot of good examples in pop culture. It's a little too weird to be a main character trait and it really complicates any kind of effects or animation, so it's not surprising that we don't see it a lot.

I didn't know that FF had gone real time when I started it, and I found myself really wishing it was still turn-based even though I've never been a turn-based guy apart from the first couple gens of Pokemon.

Are you swapping more this time around? That's what I found overwhelming about it.
