Cappy's dam, Black Betty, and nine other horses were owned by an older man who passed away earlier this year. EIght of the horses were unhandled and hadn't been vetted, so this has been an expensive herd to help.

Due to the current EHV-1 outbreak and out of an abundance of caution, we're suspending intake and movements of horses within the rescue for the next two weeks and will re-evaluate at that time.

We feel it is our responsibility to be cautious about threats to the equine population.

We provide short term assistance feeding horses whose owners experience temporary financial hardship. Our funds are nearly depleted, so your donation may make the difference between someone being able to feed their horse and or having to surrender their horse. https://loom.ly/nDyAY_8
