This is near where I live. It is a picture of the Yellowstone River from the top of Pompey's Pillar. William Clark carved his initials in the rock there, and that is the only evidence deliberately left by the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

My wife is intensely interested in dogs, so we have three. We have two Lancashire Heelers and a Shiba Inu. Our newest LH is not in this picture, but her picture is my profile pic. We compete in dog sports. I often get roped in as a ring steward or for course-building.

I have an interest in the history of civilian aviation. This is my first book on the topic. Although it is a biography, my subject, Ernie Buehl, witnessed the invention of civilian aviation, both in Europe and in North America.
