They don't try to figure out why their self-esteem is in a flaming pile of garbage, because it is easier to have people uncritically affirm your worst traits so you don't have to do any work. People who care force you to grow and challenge you. People who hate you allow you to poison yourself.

Enabling someone is not support. That's you destroying each other. #occult communities and #occulture are filled with people who have a culture and an implicit contract of mutually agreeing to maintain a distorted worldview because it benefits group belonging or identity.

It’s how ChatGPT drives people nutty—but your so-called friends, not a robot, are doing it. #occult communities create a folie à deux (shared delusion). They validate each other’s addictions, obsessions, and cognitive distortions through collusive reinforcement that pushes them into psychosis

It's not that surprising that mentally ill people act mentally ill. It's surprising that there's no intervention, so people just crash out and everyone responds with schadenfreude and sadistic glee. Just bonkers!"

It's crazy to me how sociopathic behavior is now considered normal on #socialmedia. I don’t think this accurately represents society. Compulsive Internet usage suggests you’re in a subset of neurotic people, at the very least. Most people aren’t online 24/7. It's is normal mainly among the ill.

If a person trauma dumps all of the time, you're probably dealing with a flavor of Cluster B.

I work in biotech. What she described couldn’t have happened. The psychology behind it is about getting resources—it’s not just about attention. Dark personalities self-victimize & virtue signal to extract resources. That this antisocial behavior is now considered normal blows my fucking mind.

It's horrifying that lying to be a victim has become normal. People are making up things that didn’t happen just so they can portray themselves as victims. I just read a clearly fabricated story about a woman claiming she was berated by someone administering vaccines.

I'm serious. He NEVER logs off Discord. His name changes between online, idle, and mobile, but it NEVER goes offline.

My husband & I have safes for our phones. When we need to take away the other one’s phone, it goes into a timed phone safe. That’s the worst part — they have absolutely no real support. It’s like taking away someone’s car keys when they’ve had too much to drink. He has no one to say time to log off.

Friends don't let friends write creepy shipping fan fiction about an ex. That’s the other wild part — that doing shit like this is so normal that they didn’t even clock that they should stop him.

The greatest part of being with the man I love for over a decade is I get to watch him turn into a grumpy old man.
