It’s always started by the winner. Going back to 2017. Pretty standard in college football it seems. Not saying I love it but there was nothing unusual in the flag plant today other than ohio states reaction

This has been going on for years. Baker Mayfield planted their flag in 2017. Texas and Oregon planted their flags in Michigan stadium this year after winning. OSU has done this at Michigan stadium as well. Poor losers who can dish it out but can’t take it.
