For what it's worth the middle ground is not necessarily objective. Nor is it automatically correct by virtue of being the middle ground. And in a binary situation, there is no middle ground. If you don't choose right or wrong, you chose wrong.

There is an argument to be made for reducing spending and the size of government. But the way they are going about it will cost a lot more in the long run than what it might save. It's like deciding the best weight loss solution is cutting off your leg.
