Tonight, I modified a fairly simple stir fry into what has become essentially a chicken stew in an oven pan.Tastes good, don't get me wrong. And wasn't too much work. And only used a skillet and an pan.

Huh...the Furbase.de interface changed since I last logged in. I don't think I like it. Less contrast. But it is what it is. It seems the old software lost support.

What if omelette ("French" style not the scrambled style) with potatoes, cheese, sausage, and maybe a small amount of a savoury/sweet jam? (Seasoned with black pepper obviously.) And then a crepe cooked and then folded around it. Stupid weird breakfast taco omelette with everything in it.

Undervolting and underclocking CPUs is cool. I just made a 95w processor work adequately with an underrated cooler while I'm waiting for the good cooler to come in. I mostly have dabbled in the opposite, because I never had a motive to reduce power consumption, so this is my first venture in it.

Setting up RAID is...honestly kind of annoying. I ended up giving up on making Windows and Linux both play nice with my AMD FakeRAID, and just deleted my Windows install, and went with software RAID in Linux.

My first Windows computer had a 4.3 GB hard drive. Most of my childhood was on computers with 40 GB hard drives. The second laptop in the house had a 500 GB hard drive. I just got two 4 TB hard drives.

So All American Rejects has an album called Move Along that probably a large portion of you have heard songs off of. Released like 2005 I think. That album was good to me when I was younger, but it hits quite a bit different now...and honestly, that's kind of nice. I like the album more now.

I would post a lot of what I post on Mastodon here, but character limit, and the fact that bot responses are way more common annoys me a little bit, so only a subset of them end up here.

I would kind of like a videogame that is set in mundane modern Middle East or Eastern Europe. I feel like a game like that could be really cozy for people like me that descend from disadvantaged cultures like that, or people who currently live in nations whose histories are defined by that.

The ocean is annoyingly broad sometimes.

There's so many good people in the world. Remember that. Despite all the horrible things going on, lots of people, most people I'd hazard, are good. Even for those that seem bad, sometimes they're misled, uneducated, actively mistreated, and lost. There's so much beauty out there in the world.

Suppose I 3D printed something with clear PLA (because I have). You know how you can make some frosted glass clear by filling the rough spots using plastic tape or a clear coat of polyurethane? (cont.)

The world is so small. I sometimes go looking for furs in my area, or with specific interests, or some other category and then find out...wait a sec, this person has a connection with another person I know from a completely different place.

Not sure what it is, but I've been having more dreams lately. I always have some, but there's more lately. That's cool.

I built my 2023 computer in a case from 2006 (okay, that's a lie, I actually built it in a case from 2017 and moved it to a case made in 2009 [whose model started in 2006], but still). It has an external 3.5" bay...I have acquired a lot of USB adapters...I have a spare 3.5" floppy drive...

There's something primal about analogue tech that just feels better. Take analogue photography. Digital photography is cool and a wonder of technology, but analogue photography is so clobbered together from primitive understandings that you can explain it from beginning to end to a 4 year old.

I should acquire some VHS-C tapes, maybe, probably not, but eh. Maybe it would be fun to do some horrible video project on VHS-C.

I recently got a hot air reflow tool and I wish I did so years ago. This makes working on PCBs so much easier than soldering with an iron.

You know, I was thinking, even some pretty old GPUs are serviceable if you don't only play AAA games. I upgraded from a 1050 Ti, but the thing is, it was still getting decent, playable performance in some relatively new, relatively nice-looking games.

Be soft.
Do not let the world make you hard.
Do not let the pain make you hate.
Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness.
Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree,
you still believe it to be a beautiful place.
