That being said, his statement does contradict itself a bit. By his own logic, since most of the OG performers aren’t with us, it suggests the Muppets should be discontinued. But if he were to be asked back to play Kermit, he’d say yes with no questions asked and his whole point would be moot.

I see some of his point and I def think Disney has been killing the Muppet spirit for decades now. And the original Muppets were the BEST—that’s hard to let go of, especially since he was part of that magic.
