There's no GT/Daima manga so you're good on that. Honestly just going through the 42 tomes of Dragon Ball is enough and tells a complete story. Only go for Super and others IF you like it, they've been made 20 years after the manga ended so it's not like it's essential to "get DB".

On new vpet/continuities, they could always add new evolutions in power creep. Not saying that's desirable actually, far from it, but was talking overall since 1996, they added Lv.6 after a while and pushed it with some lv.7 but kept restrain beyond that. Adding now a Lv.8+ would be weird indeed.

Oh really? I do like their restrain to not power creep into Level 8-9-10 whatever but I think at this point Lv.7 is too common to not properly establish it (albeit reserved to a handful of 'mons) with a specific name. Oh well.

I've also seen Ultra for Super Ultimate (maybe Cybersleuth used that?). I vastly prefer the JP names but Baby 1 and 2 are still awkward. However since you barely see them it's okay.

Names-wise I also prefer the original one but I am a bit partial to Gatomon instead of Tailmon lol. It's cuter.
