Yes, funny how we escalated against Russia and Trump threatens Europe. Anyone would think Trump is in with Putin. I'm thinking more obfuscation than appeasement - something Europe is quite good at.

Trump could cut Ukraine's intelligence and communications capability so retaliation would be unwise. US bases still a deterrent against Russia. Europe must step up with military spending but sell it to voters as economic growth. Funds must be shared fairly - the time for internal squabbles is past

I'm intrigued by this idea and can see the importance of distributed batteries but on a personal level concerned that I might not get to do the trip I planned because the grid emptied my car battery to run something else because that was cheaper than firing up a gas turbine generator.
