sadly translation work is kind of a dying field because of the rise of generative AI. AND [non-descriptive public university i work at] has like way too good job benefits for me to really consider leaving lightly

im a good little worker bee. my coworkers like me. i could probably get a better financial job even though finance makes me kind of miserable and i constantly think i should go back to school for a language/japanese degree to pursue my dream of translation work

i really wanna wfh more 😭 but well see whats in my future. would be nice if i could work that into my current position but if i gotta start looking for Better Positions i suppose thats something i could work towards at [non-descriptive public university i work at] especially in my department

itll also help me do more wfh if i am able to fit that into my future potentially. id definitely like to but thatll be a bargain to make with the new office manager whenever they get hired and/or if my cat continues to be so ill
