In case you didn't know, unemployment benefits are funded by a tax on employers not taxpayers. Reduce the unemployment benefits then give corporations a tax break. Questions?

Whirlpool Amana manufacturing facility in Iowa announced layoffs of 650 employees, The facility is located in a town of 600. Thanks to quick thinking by our republican governor the length of time to receive unemployment was reduced from 25 to 16 weeks. republicans don't care about workers..period!

I agree that they made their own mess. But letting them fail enmasse will create an even bigger problem. There must be some way to let them feel the pain without letting the predator financial firms screw us for generations to come.
