1. Get offline quickly, real life is a much better place to see if you mesh
2. Pick low effort easy first dates, no one wants to be stuck at a fancy dinner or hike with someone they don't get along with
3. Take it easy, every date should be fun and interesting, not dependant on some possible future

Hah, that's a depressing amount of effort just to be annoying. Also those suggested replies are not the best, hopefully they're normally better quality.

To summarize:

-They stopped almost all USAID work

-Then they conceded that some programs actually saved lives & granted waivers for those

-Then they promised a “careful” 90 day review of everything

-Then they cancelled 90% anyway within just weeks, including many they had just deemed life-saving

That's not really true for Steam or for ebooks on Google Play, both leave DRM up to the publisher rather than forcing it wholesale.

Phenomenal video as always! I'm excited to see if you touch on the Venus transit expeditions in part 2, @constantpodcast.bsky.social did a series of podcasts on them and I'd love to see the math side of their observations.

A well researched video about a topic near someone's area of expertise?! I would (and have) watched many three hour videos that meet those criteria, desk or no. It's like a way better modern version of the History channel that I can pause and come back to with snacks.
