Rifts of Chronos will be going on hiatus!

TLDR: Going on break due to lack of buffer pages and the holiday season. Estimated to Return January 5th!

Long version:
With the holiday season coming up, I had a plan that in December I would take a month long hiatus in order to prevent overworking myself during that time. Unfortunately that break has been pushed to even sooner, as I have run out of the buffer pages I had built up. New pages themselves aren’t as much the issue as the fact that I have a lot of visual development work that still needs to be done for important props and characters in Chapter 2. Chapter 1 was created though a lot of crunching to finish pages as quickly as possible in the 4 months they were in development, but as I am still new to comics I am still experimenting to find a working schedule that I work best with! As sad as I am to have to take a break so soon after chapter 2 starting, I want to put the highest quality I can into my pages and to not rush them!
During this break I will be finding a balance between resting and working on the visdev/buffer of pages, and I am hoping for a return on January 5th, 2026! Depending on how work goes, I may even need to switch the posting schedule from 2x/week to just once a week. That way I can still get pages out while building up my buffer!
Thank you for all the support on the comic so far! I really appreciate everyone who has been reading, commenting, or even making fanart for it! It really does mean so much! 💕

The clock begins to chime, causing the three to stop what they are doing and turn to look, startled by the sound. Milo then looks at Aiya.

(Milo)
I think your clock is broken.

Orion looks at Milo.

(Orion)
Its chimes are almost as loud as your mouth.

Milo is about to respond but the clock chimes again, and again, and again. 12 times.

At the end of the last chime, the door of the clock bursts open a bright yellow crack. The crack expands, and a small creature pops out.

The three stand there stunned until Milo kneels down.

(Milo)
It’s… a mouse?

(Orion)
What’s with that weird outfit?

(Aiya)
It’s kind of cute, don’t ya think?

The MOUSE looks around at it surroundings and the three elves in front of it. It takes a look at Piper who is on Milo’s shoulder, and Piper stares back with her large eyes.
