I mean, surely *someone* is laughing.

I’ve been told AI for that is right around the corner.

I’ve never seen a better description of arguing with a conspiracy theorist better than the “cuckoo clock from Hell” description. Keeping perfect time for 4 minutes only to then skip ahead 8. Then start counting again for a few minutes before jumping ahead another dozen and never noticing the blip.

This is it. Some parts are so
intact, so “immaculately maintained” that it makes the missing pieces all the more obvious.

Like a lot of people, I’ve witnessed, to varying degrees, the “willful filing off of gear teeth” by people in my life.

But the part that really brings this piece home for me is the focus on the unfiled gears.

The important thing is that these very special boys never have to admit they’re wrong. That would be the real tragedy here.
