Climate change is one of many dangerous challenges young people face growing up. Older people must "grow up" as well, and start acting more responsibly--caring for the Earth, for nature, and for each other. Time grows short for the world we dream, for earth and hearts to mend.

The Secretary of Energy's saying climate change is a "side effect of building the modern world" reminds me of the old doctors' trope: "The operation was successful but the patient died"--only here we're talking the whole planet! 1/2
