Still not used to having a job that gives out bonuses. Very grateful. This year I've decided a good chunk of it goes to my local VEG. I want to make sure there's a saftey net for people who can't afford end of life expenses for their animal. Everyone deserves to say goodbye and not go into debt.

IMO that bullshit is why we are where we are right now. When you pass off the credit for human achievements to a god, all you are doing is diminishing the power of humanity to forge its own destiny. We become the helpless child, unable to do anything without the doting God parent.

It pisses me off to see survival stories, and some asshole goes and says "God sent my rescuer to find me."
It's not enough for you that some other sentient being showed you basic compassion and decency. Which is arguably more inspiring a story.
