On the sidewalk in front of the building is a sign on a pole reading “Liquors” and “Kalúa.” The stores to the left and right are less colorful - Caca de Camio Sonora on the right and another money-exchange on the left. A pair of 1970s-era cars are parked along the curb - one white and one green, each with “TAXI” signs on the roof.

Wagon & ruins, Hornitos, California. July 1999. Domingo Ghirardelli (founder of the Ghirardelli Chocolate Co.) was a merchant in Hornitos during the California Gold Rush.
