That inspired the first sentence in an article I wrote on the visualisation of epigenetics but the referees didn't like it (and the rest of the article).
The ways we see the world and the ways we act in the world are shaped by the stories we tell about the world. These stories, in turn, are organised around verbal and visual images. This has been happening since time immemorial, from spiral-shaped petroglyphs to spiral-shaped double helixes. Such stories and images help us understand and deal with abstract, intangible or, indeed, scientific, issues, especially when phenomena are too minute to be observed with the naked eye. They make the unfamiliar familiar, for good or for ill – a dilemma that we explore in this article.

Visited Port Sunlight yesterday - the original source of much of my academic funding from @leverhulme.ac.uk It was so impressive to see the workers' houses, hear about all the good stuff the Levers did and to visit the Lady Lever Art Gallery - on the day that Musk got $1 trillion....
