We always want to believe that our NFL team will build on its prior year if it came close but didn’t reach the ultimate goal. The reality is more like the fine print on investment vehicles: “Past performance is not indicative of future results.” But that’s also good news for a previously bad team.

The snow games today are great TV. Al Michaels on Mad Dog Unleashed last week talked about why the NFL is such great TV. He said he and Jimmy Johnson were talking on the field once and JJ said: “In the stadium, a 4-yard run is a 4-yard run. You (TV) guys can make a 4-yard run look like Armageddon.”

Bowl Season is the best. Cities all over hosting games. Quirky traditions, trophies, and mascots. Now with opt-outs and mystical portal quests, fans get to see players who didn’t necessarily get much action during the season, and that’s fun, too.

At this point, even if they can pull it out, I don’t know what the point of Eagles winning the NFC East would be. They just don’t seem built for a playoff run, unfortunately.

Listened to Mad Dog Russo (whom I revere and adore) and figured no reason to watch Big 10 Championship Game. Was wrong. This is must-watch college football.
