I don't know about common but I would say that there is a growing awareness that making intentional decisions about who will play in your group/campaign make for better experience and also seeing expectations can improve the experience for everyone.

Ok, so the LEGO factory is (I think) mostly staffed by robots so if we run in and knock some over we should have a small window to get some tng enterprise kits
