Plenty of churches have a part-time or even volunteer ministry. And so someone qualified to be a judge could also have given a sermon.

Heck, Barack Obama has given a sermon. Would that disqualify him from being nominated to a judgeship?

(Note: I’m not commenting on the current nominee)

Lt Gov Cox was fairly good for a Republican. And then did an admirable job running Covid. Then in June 2020, he won his primary and went on vacation to California. And he came home a different person.

The new airport opened before Cox was Governor.

I just realized that was a no-duh post.

She announced earlier today.

The reality is that CD1 is an embarrassment of riches for Dems. While it would be nice to have some of them run in other districts (or other offices), it would be even harder to wi those other districts with an SLC candidate.

Season 9 doesn’t exist. It’s not real. It’s like Karl Malone playing for the Lakers or Jordan playing for the Wizards — it didn’t happen.

The signatures did matter.

Without the signatures, the law passed would stand instead of being repealed this week.

I think even 15 is too high. We’ve been too high in the ranking for weeks. Too many of our wins where we’ve looked like crap. Especially the last two weeks.

When this first happened, I was hoping that this guy was just stupid and not malicious.

The story was sickening enough before getting to the end. People are horrible.

If Rep Hayes then runs for his Senate seat, then that leaves an opening in her district. Thankfully, there’s no shortage of Dems in either district.

I could be wrong, but I’m fairly certain Blouin’s Senate seat is up for reelection this year. Which means that unless he drop out of the Congressional race before the filing deadline, his seat is an open race (since you can’t run for Congress and the Legislature at the same time). /1

He’s the only man in the minority party, so that automatically makes him the minority leader, right? (That was sarcasm, for those about to @/DM me.)

Thank you for taking a pro-choice stance.

Mammoth are at the tail end of their most brutal stretch of the season. They’ve practically lived the past month on the road. Yet, they are right on the edge of the playoffs. Turn one of those OTL the last 3 games into a win, and we’re the 8th seed.

Right about our expectations for this season.

Nope. Utes play Saturday at 2. The do play next Friday (Black Friday) at 10AM, but that’s in Kansas.
November 18, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Are you talking about the event Friday at Rice Eccles Stadium? It’s the High School football championship games. 3 games, going most of the day.

Happens every year the Friday before Thanksgiving. Week before is semifinals, all day on Thursday and Friday.

Nothing says “we’ll run an open, honest campaign” like being secretive about where your kickoff is being held.

What are you hiding from, Ben?
November 14, 2025 at 4:59 PM
My anger would have subsided some if Ben had spent some time trying to build the party the last 3 (really 5) years. But he’s been pretty absent.

Instead, he’s been silently counting his 30 pieces of silver and now wants to jump in when it’s convenient.

I’d like Ben to publicly come out and say that.

He seems to dance around the issue. Most issues, actually.
