I'm so glad I haven't built my personality on devotion to a sports team at a school I didn't attend, and which I would most likely not even care about if I lived in another state.

There are few things in life that bug me like people who are massively early for a movie. That's time for me to get steps in walking back and forth in my row, not being triggered by my autistic reaction to your whispered conversation, which bothers me so much more than talking at regular volume.

I go to see a lot of movies in the theater, and if you're looking for a great time that will leave you giddy upon conclusion, yet sad it's over, I cannot recommend Spinal Tap II enough. One of the best films of the year, no question.

My most obvious personal example of inflation: I like to eat dill pickle spears as a snack throughout the day. Last week, they were $2.49 apiece. Yesterday, they were $2.69. And about a year or so ago, they were $2.29. Buying 5 at a time means I'm paying $2 more per trip than last year. It adds up.

When you hear your wife in the next room (working from home) give an introduction of herself and a brief history of her professional background and time with the company, and you know how long it's been better than she does (7 years, not 5). I'm better with numbers than my accountant wife.

Potatoes are really the best thing, and we are blessed that there are so many wonderful, and tasty, ways in which they can be prepared and enjoyed.

I'm happy to report that the strategy of tricking my brain into feeling happy by giving it sweets is working, so I'm still here for now.
