Woof, not great for Sounders with this one…

I don’t think having Charlotte, Nashville, and Atlanta in 3 separate divisions is going to fly with any of the fans of those 3 teams.

I think we are describing 2 sides of the same coin, so I’ll agree with that.

The point I was making is that, if the current folks who know how important being downtown is to vibe/culture/history/current fans could convince themselves based on the dollars and cents, someone with no connection to any of that should be just as easily convinced.

“I should also add that it’s not outside the realm of possibility that some new owner will be smitten with a Renton stadium.”

I’m sure that if the Sounders current owners/business leadership have convinced themselves of a Renton stadium, they won’t have much trouble convincing some billionaire…

Way more sports to enjoy in Seattle.

He strikes me as a “A Few Good Men” kind of guy.

It’s absolutely nothing like the momentum killing 6 week or 8 week (or however long) winter break that is going to be proposed for the US to align with the European calendar.

It’s a disingenuous argument to make. There are some teams that do have a month between their last regular season game and their bowl game. But for college football as a whole, there is basically never more than about a week or so between competitive games for the public to watch.

This… isn’t accurate at all…. College football playoffs starts this year on December 19, less than 3 weeks after the end of the regular season. The conference championships start the week after that. And Bowl season starts the week after that.

Just one more trophy for the Sounders to add to the cabinet.
November 11, 2025 at 3:25 AM
They’ll try again, unfortunately.

Chara should have gotten a yellow but he didn’t cause… he’s Chara.
November 10, 2025 at 2:45 AM
Sounders really do invent everything… sometimes that really sucks…
November 9, 2025 at 12:45 AM
How else would you describe why they gave up 2 goals when up by a man thanks to a red card?
November 9, 2025 at 12:24 AM
Unfortunately, they have shown they are mentally soft. This is a team that should win MLS Cup were it not for that one element.

Honestly pretty amazing the entirety of the lower bowl is sold out for a 1pm weekday game. Doesn’t even matter it’s the day after thanksgiving, a lot of people, including myself, are still working that day.

Kind of a gross decision on her part…

I wish my job were so accommodating of my playing video games…
November 4, 2025 at 11:44 PM
I hope it grows on me. Can’t say I love it yet.
November 4, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Noticed this cause it was in my corner of the field. Deranged behavior 🤣
November 4, 2025 at 10:10 PM
Lol of course it is…
November 4, 2025 at 5:37 AM
Unfortunately, this also seems to be Sounders football…
