Bob Cram Jr. would like to be mysterious, but is instead, at best, slightly ambiguous. Writer, illustrator, web developer.
It's Dario Argento's birthday today, so here's an older sketch of some of my favorite Argento films. What's your favorite?

Horror Portrait no. 5. Last of the current batch. Really had fun with it, but figuring out the inking took a bit. This is from the film Zombie. Effects by Giannetto De Rossi, and I've always loved this particular zombie. #zombie #luciofulci #horrorart #penandink #giannettoderossi

Horror Portrait #4! This was done before the Bride. I THINK this was the first one done entirely with the #3 brush. This is Bill Paxton as Severen from Near Dark, a great vampire flick from 1987. "Howdy! I'm gonna seperate your head from your shoulders!" #billpaxton #neardark #horrorart #penandink

To go with my Canon appearance, here's Horror Portrait #3 - The Bride of Frankenstein! I think I posted the digital sketch for this a month or two ago. This was actually the fourth illo I did for this month. I'm not as keen on the linework with this, but I do like the hair. #brideoffrankenstein

Horror portrait illo #2. Our man Vincent Price. Getting a little more comfortable with the brush here, and I like the lines on the shadows of his face. Learning to use a larger (#3) brush, vs the 000s I trained myself on. Would make a great alt Re-Animator illo.

I've been taking some of my "monster sketch monday" sketches, which were done digitally, and turning them into actual pen and ink drawings. I'm relearning how to use a brush. I think this first one has lost a bit, but figured I'd share it. Will share the rest over the week (I've done 5 so far).

It's been a while, and it ain't Monday, but here's the first Monster Sketch I've done in... many months. Looking forward to spooky season, where the Bride awaits. #monstersketch #brideoffrankenstein

Monster Sketch Monday! I know, I’m late again. And this is a pretty sketchy sketch. I’m finding it’s hard to nail down enough time at the end of a Monday. I’ll try working on it in the morning, see if that helps. In the future. For now, heeeere’s Jack! Wrong movie. Dammit.

My five favorite films of the year are up at ScreenAge Wasteland. No, I didn't see any of the critically acclaimed ones. Not even that one. I did see the other one, though.

This week's Fear Flashback features a film I didn't like at first, but have grown to love. The "sequel" to one of my favorite films (Suspiria), Dario Argento's 'Inferno.'

A late Monster Sketch Monday! Scanners is one of my favorite David Cronenberg films and it was released in January of 1981. I think this might have been the first film I saw Michael Ironside in as well. Post at: screenagewasteland.com/monster-sket...

Continuing in the hopes of "getting back to it," here's my first Fear Flashback post of the year. Harkening back ten years to 2014 and a movie I always like, but sometimes forget that I do - 'It Follows.'

I haven't done a #monstersketchmonday in over a year. Time to get back to it! This is a bit of a cheat, as I busted out the ink and brush to finish up my version of an otyugh - a monster from D&D - that I penciled back in 2020. Shaking the rust off! #dnd #sketch #otyugh

My beautiful Bride got me some awesome monster movie posters. I figured, where better to put them then where I'm planning on drawing more monsters! (A New Year's resolution.)

Happy 69th stomping day to the Big G! How come I remember Godzilla's birthday, but not yours?

Friday the 13th is as good a day as ever to make that first post. Happy F13, everyone! Here's some Jason Voorhees art from last year.
